What's new
We are constantly striving to enhance and optimise our products, and we're proud to announce the following new and improved features in this release:
- We created a page in the Inside mode that opens when the Service Requests tab is clicked. It lists tasks for the assigned space with their categories, names, statuses, and the due date to be resolved.
- To aid our support teams and ensure the Unity panels are running optimally, we have enabled a background soft reset feature in the API.
- We’ve integrated booking policies so that the panel adheres to the same slots and available days when creating a booking at the panel that IBSS Flex also follows. For this, we have also:
- Added a countdown timer to the check-in button for the Outside mode if the booking policy has an autocancel threshold set.
- Added an information tooltip to the Outside mode to show the booking policy associated to the room for user convenience.
- Changed time selectors in the pop-up to allow for booking policy validation.
- Adjusted the schedule view timeline to show booking policy time slots that are not available for booking. Now, there are visually distinctive statuses for excluded dates (red), disabled times (grey), and available times (green).
- If your booking policy has repeating start time slots, Unity now allows selecting only the available booking slots in accordance. Specifically, users will see the Now button to book for as soon as possible if:
- The slot start time starts less than 15 min from now,
- And this is the first available slot in timeline for today,
- And the booking policy has the repeating start time slots set.
What's changed
- When adding a host for the booking, their name is now shown on the Unity tablet.
- Unity now uses the updated user’s PIN field stored in the user preferences record and created/editable in Roamer and Flex.
- For Android version 9+ to set the device to auto-start Unity on power-up, we now recommend the use of an EMM service to provision and control the device within an enterprise environment.
- We added the new Device_Degrees_Fahrenheit parameter to allow specifying different temperature units.

Known issue
If the booking is linked to an office resource or includes an online meeting link, the Extend buttons are shown, when they shouldn't be. It is not possible to extend a booking linked to an Office 365 resource because Unity doesn't make the request as the user who has permissions to the Microsoft Graph API required to alter bookings on behalf of a user. If users press the button, they will get the Rejected by 3rd Party message.
