When defining a space in IBSS, there are several metadata elements that control how the space will behave. One of the key metadata elements is the Space_Class.

Space Classes

Work Spaces

A space where your primary work function is carried out, and a space where you spend the majority of your time at work. Examples are desks or focus booths.

You can only book 1 work space at a time in IBSS.

This prevents for example booking multiple desks on different floors at the same time. You can book multiple spaces of different classes at the same time such as a desk and a meeting room.

Support Spaces

A space the supports your primary work function. It is not where you usually spend the majority of your time at work. Examples include meeting rooms, meeting booths, team tables but can also include receptions or print rooms.

You can only book 1 support space at a time in IBSS.

This prevents for example booking multiple meeting rooms on different floors at the same time. You can book multiple spaces of different classes at the same time such as a desk and a meeting room.

Amenity Spaces

A space that is provided for your comfort at work but does not support the primary work function. Examples include gyms, wellness rooms, cafe's, lounges, kitchenettes.
