Why having two or more types of identity providers (IdP) within organisation causes issues for IBSS?

For most system requests, IBSS uses the user ID validation to return unique results about the user.

In case of bookings for someone else or adding attendees to the bookings, emails have to be checked as well. And when an organisation employs two or more identification providers and ends up having user with the same username but different emails, IBSS faces an issue and is not able to identify user who has different emails for the same username.

When this happens, user will not be able to see bookings that they made.

✅ Our recommendation is not to use two or more different IdP types for your organisation.
