Announcements let you share building news, such as an upcoming event or a service change, with the people who use your building. This article is for facilities and workplace services staff who manage announcements in Operations. It explains where announcements appear, which permissions you need, and how to create, publish, duplicate, expire, and delete them.

About announcements

  • You create and manage announcements in Operations, on the Announcements page.
  • Each announcement belongs to one building. The Announcements page shows the announcements for the building you've selected.
  • You choose where an announcement is shown:
    • Workspace and Roamer X: users see the announcement in the apps, for example on the Workspace home page, while it's active.
    • Inspire: the announcement is shown on the Inspire devices in portrait orientation that you choose.
  • The short description is used for push notifications and for the Inspire carousel.
  • An announcement is active between the start and end dates of its message schedule. After the end date, it's expired.
