Issue
When you have more than one preferred language set for your browser app and multiple versions of the same language type, IBSS Hub apps may randomly appear in one of your set languages.
IBSS will always read the last language in the list if they are of the same culture. For example:
- English (UK)
- English (US)
- English (intl)—this variant will be recognised.
However, if you have an unorganised list of several cultures with their language variants, meaning some language variant interrupts the list of your primary culture that is listed first, the “interrupting” language is then used. For example in this list:
- English (UK)
- English (US)
- Spanish (ES)
- Spanish (AR)
- English (intl)
IBSS only recognises English (intl), and because that is listed after Spanish, the app UI then shows in Spanish.
Solution
Group all variants of the needed language cultures together, as in our example this will be English together followed by all the Spanish variants:
- English (UK)
- English (US)
- English (intl)
- Spanish (ES)
- Spanish (AR)
Alternatively, make sure that you have only one variant of each language culture that you need to use, and that it is in the preferred order with the needed language on top.
