Introduction State Engine

Applies to Version 1.10 or later

Introduction

Each space in the IBSS platform is driven by a State Engine. The State Engine transitions the space into a different state (SXX number) through one of the following actions:

User interaction such as checking-in or booking a space
Timed system actions such as booking started or booking ended

The table below lists the states in the State Engine, what colour it renders the space as in IBSS clients and a brief description of what the state means.

State Engine

State	Colour in clients	Description
S5	Grey	Space is out of service.
S6	Green	Space is available (not bookable or reservable).
S7	Purple	Space is awaiting a clean and should not be used.
S8	Red	Space is occupied.
S9	Amber	Space was recently occupied.
S10	Purple	Space is awaiting a clean and should not be used.
S11	Purple	Space is awaiting a clean and should not be used.
S12	Green	Space is available (reservable space).
S13	Purple	Space is awaiting a clean and should not be used.
S14	Red	Space is occupied but not Reserved.
S15	Amber	Space was recently occupied but not Reserved.
S16	Amber	Space is Reserved by the current user.
S17	Red	Space is occupied and Reserved by the current user.
S18	Amber	Space was recently occupied and Reserved by the current user.
S19	Amber	Space is not occupied but Reserved by the current user.
S20	Amber	Space is Reserved by another user.
S21	Red	Space is occupied and Reserved by another user.
S22	Amber	Space is occupied and Reserved by another user.
S23	Amber	Space is not occupied but Reserved by another user.
S24	Green	Space is available (bookable space)
S25	Purple	Space is awaiting a clean and should not be used.
S26	Red	Space is occupied but not booked.
S27	Amber	Space was recently occupied but not booked.
S28	Amber	Space is booked by the current user.
S29	Red	Space is occupied and booked by the current user.
S30	Amber	Space was recently occupied and booked by the current user.
S31	Amber	Space is unoccupied and booked by the current user.
S32	Amber	Space is booked by another user.
S33	Red	Space is occupied and booked by another user.
S34	Amber	Space was recently occupied and booked by another user.
S35	Amber	Space is unoccupied and booked by another user.
S36	Red	Space is occupied and reserved by current user but not checked in.
S37	Amber	Space recently occupied and reserved by current user but not checked in.
S38	Red	Space is occupied and booked by current user but not checked in.
S39	Amber	Space recently occupied and booked by current user but not checked in.
S40	Red	Space is occupied and reserved by another user but not checked in.
S41	Amber	Space recently occupied and reserved by another user but not checked in.
S42	Red	Space recently occupied and booked by another user but not checked in.
S43	Amber	Space recently occupied and booked by another user but not checked in.
