Roamer X is our next-generation mobile app in active development, designed to enhance engagement and boost productivity while offering seamless access to intelligent building services. With this first release, the following features are now available.
What's new
- Functionality for user authentication. Roamer X has the necessary login screens, provider selection page, and support for app protection policies. More on app protection policies read here: Roamer managed in Microsoft Intune - IBSS
- Upon login, users have to accept Privacy Policy and are offered to go through onboarding and set up their user preferences.
- Left-side menu allows access to:
- Building selector
- Security Pass (with the integrated HID technology)
- User Preferences settings
- Identity provider selection
- Home page has a building image and quick search tiles linked to:
- Preconfigured space types
- Building map (with filter options). Map is displayed zoomed out but not yet centered.
- Your bookings (with the check-in option)
- Latest announcements (system notifications and building announcements)
- Your amenities
- Your colleagues. Colleagues bookings are displayed in the search as expected. Bookings are displayed for all colleagues selected on the date selected.
- Search tab enables search by space type, work type, equipment, and amenities as well as switching to the FAVOURITES tab to search for spaces or colleagues that were previously marked as favourite.
Also, you can search for spaces that are available right now. Use the ASAP toggle for this. - Search results are filtered according to what is allowed by the booking policy.
- Selecting a space from any search results opens the space details page with:
- Space name
- Building name where the space is located
- Floor
- Zone
- Capacity
- Linked spaces and furniture layouts options (images are currently missing on space cards).
- Space Guides as available.
- Air quality is dynamically reflected on space cards.
- Hard-coded coordinates are added for the Konnect-d building.
- Functionality to book a space from search results or from map view for self or for someone else has been added too.
- Booking management is enabled to check in to existing bookings, edit, or cancel them.
- Added an option to extend a booking by 15 or 30 minutes when there's less than 30 minutes left and if the space is available.
- Visitors tab lists your visitors (with those visitors at the top of the list who are due to arrive next) and allows adding ad-hoc visitors. Visitor data is shown with full name, company, date, time, and booking name and space where applicable.
Known limitations
- Check-in using the QR code results in an error on iOS devices.
- App restart is needed after some inactivity time.
- Space selection on a map may misbehave.
- Visits are not yet bound to space bookings.
- Equipment and services are currently not saved with the booking.
- Switching between floors when viewing the map may open a space card for the last space that was selected.
- The Signify indoor positioning does not currently work on devices running Android 14 as the Signify SDK doesn't yet support it.
