For app version 2.3.5 for iOS and Android
What's changed or added
Users are required to clear their cache in Roamer X when upgrading from version EA 3.4 or earlier.
Why? Roamer X app versions earlier than 3.5 are saving the data in the cache multiple times after every load. It gets cleared automatically the next day, but still, every time you opened the app, it saved new data in the cache like buildings, KPIs data etc.
- For organisations that don't put a privacy policy for using Roamer X in place, the app skips loading the privacy policy confirmation page and loads the identity providers page.
- Building KPI tiles gradually load the skeleton first, and then the availability number and a status bar, depending on the setting.
- Users can create one or more catering orders in Roamer X.
- The Find an amenity card is shown on the Home page and Search page to the user with the Roamer.Spaces.SearchAmenitySpaces permission.
- The Find a colleague card is shown on the Home page and Search page to the user with the Roamer.Users.Favourites permission.
- Users with task resolver's permissions can claim tasks that are in the Awaiting Reallocation state.
- Gallagher security passes are now supported in Roamer X for users with corresponding Gallagher accounts entering the building and scanning the pass on Gallagher reader.
What's fixed
Bookings
- In a series of recurring bookings, user is able to select each booking individually and view the space details page. Navigation arrows work too now.
- We've fixed the links that open the HTML space guides from the space details page.
- Bookings that were made within 5 minutes of booking start time do check in automatically now.
- Users are only prompted to “Scan to confirm location and check in” when the space is available for check in. If viewed before the check-in period, the option is not displayed.
- We've optimised creating a booking when scanning a space QR code. The space booking page opens with the suggested booking start time now + 5 minutes and the booking end time is set to the user's preferred time. And such booking is created with no issues to load.
- The Edit Booking button is made visible for a booking in the early check in state.
- Attendees to meetings do not have the “Scan to confirm location and check in” button any more. The booking that the attendees are invited to is just listed in the Your bookings section.
- The My bookings widget on the home page is now refreshing the booking state immediately after checking in or out. Previously the page had to be intentionally refreshed to view the updated booking status.
However, if you stay on the home page for a prolonged period of time waiting for the status to update, the card won't fetch data. Switching between pages resolves the issue. - The Extend your booking option is displayed to the user when there are less than 30 minutes left of the booking and if the booking is checked in. Extending the booking doesn't result in the 503 Server error any more.
- When user opens the checked-in booking, the correct Booking details card with the Check Out button is displayed.
- When editing the booking name, the cursor no longer jumps from the start of the text to the end when typing.
Tasks
- We've removed the “Add a comment” text field on the task page if this task isn't assigned to the user.
- When resolving a task, device keyboard doesn't cover the “Add a comment” field now. The keyboard now opens under this field allowing the user to see the comment that they are entering.
- After the task is resolved and user returns to the Tasks page, the resolved task isn't showing in the list any more.
Other fixes
- We now properly check for stored user preferences on the app launch and run the onboarding wizard only when the preferences aren't stored.
- After installing Roamer X and attempting to log in, the Privacy Policy page no longer appears before the organisation is selected.
- Room temperature controls correctly reflect now what has been set as the min/max temperature for the building.
- On Android devices, if a HID, a Gallagher, or both security passes have been added, the security passes page in the main menu is now loading with no issue.
- Signposts are now opening the corresponding links in the external browser app as expected. Closing the browser returns the user to the Roamer X home page where the KPI values are shown updated.
- When trying to contact IBSS Support from the main menu, the email address is now correctly formatted.
Known issues
- On Android devices, if a HID, a Gallagher, or both security passes have been added, the intermediary page fails to load. This means that users have to open Roamer X app and go to main menu > Security Passes to use them when entering or leaving the building.
- On iOS devices, when removing an HID security pass, the app crashes and the pass is not removed.
- Creating a visitor will fail in Roamer X. We recommend using Flex for adding visitors until the next app update.
