🚩 Available with app version 2025.02
Catering Template is part of the catering order automation flow where users have catering orders automatically created after booking the defined spaces.
The Catering Template page is visible to users with the ONELENS360.OperationalServices.CateringTemplates app permission with the applied building permission (APPLIESTO).
How it works
The catering order automation flow works in the following sequence:
- Catering Menu. A catering menu is created and it is stable enough to be used frequently for automated orders. Additionally, new cut-off times introduced for the menu will control how much in advance the order must be made. Read more about catering menus here: Catering Menu.Â
- Catering Template. A catering template is created based on that menu.
- Booking Policy. Then, the catering template must be used in the booking policy that is enforced for the set of spaces where you'd like automated catering orders to be created. Read more about space booking policies here: Space booking policy.Â
- At this point, users in your organisation have an option for the catering orders to be created after they book the relevant spaces. These orders will have all items multiplied by the number of attendees in the meeting. Users can edit or cancel the automated catering order too. Creating a new catering template
On the Catering Template list page, do the following:
- Click +ADD to open a new page where you will define the details for a catering template.
- Define the name for the template. It will be picked up in the booking policy to be used for its spaces.
- Select an existing menu from the Select Menu dropdown.
- Select a combination of menu items under the BEVERAGES, SNACKS, FOODS tabs on the right of the page. Typically these would be the in-stock items that don't require preparation.
- View the list of selected items under the Order Summary. Total cost displays the amount to be charged per person.
- You can use the optional checkbox Only apply this template if booking is longer than (in minutes).
- Click Save.
Now, the template can be picked up by the admin of your organisation and be added to the booking policy for a set of meeting rooms. Then your organisation will have the option available to have catering orders created for them.
